A wonderful 19th century French throne chair with beautifully detailed lions paw feet. The frame is hand carved and retains its original gold leaf covering. The gold is flaked off in places and this chair has clearly had a good life, with knocks and bumps all over, but this all adds to the history of the piece. The chair has been tastefully re-upholstered if purple velvet, which adds to the uniqueness of such an item.
